Passyunk Avenue will be busy this week with all kinds of autumnal activities, including Fall Fest and Spooky Saturday and the popular Witch CRAFT Beer Crawl.
For a mere $6.66, you can participate in the Witch CRAFT Beer Crawl on Wednesday, Oct. 23 to try $3 craft beers at 14 Passyunk Avenue bars and enter for a chance to win prizes.
Participants will receive a witch hat and a stamp card for the contest. Get stamps by buying food and drinks, and once you get five, you can enter a chance to win gift certificates to participating bars and restaurants. Prizes will also be given for the best dressed witch or for having the most original costume.
Register at Garage at 9th and Passyunk, across from Geno’s from 5:30-7 p.m., and return stamp cards to Adobe Cafe by 9:30 p.m.
Participating bars & restaurants: Adobe, Birra, The Bottle Shop, Cantina Los Caballitos, Garage, Le Virtu, Lucky 13, Noir, Paradiso, POPE, Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar, South Philly Bar & Grill, Stateside and Stogie Joe’s.
Proceeds benefit the East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District’s cleaning and greening programs.
Then on Saturday, Oct. 26 comes the BID’s 2nd Annual Fall Fest and Spooky Saturday.
Spooky Saturday will include many activities for humans as well as dogs. Human activities include cider, doughnuts, pumpkin painting, a costume contest, and art and dance lessons for kids. Four-legged friends can participate in costume contests and eat pet treats.
Fall Fest activities include a craft show curated by Nice Things..Handmade, three live bands, pumpkins and fall foliage at Urban Jungle, and a raffle from Philadelphia Scooters. Festival-goers also will be able to adopt a furry companion from Operation Ava, PAWS and Pig Placement Network.
Refreshments will be provided by Ms. Goody Cupcake, The Tot Cart, Stateside, El Zarape, Mamma Maria Ristorante, Stogie Joe’s, Noord, Fond and Belle Cakery.
