Prepared foods cafe slated for old Metro Men’s space at 1615 E. Passyunk Ave.

The storefront at 1615 E. Passyunk Ave. won’t be vacant for much longer. New tenants have leased the space and filed a use permit for a prepared foods shop.

According to the landlord, the prepared foods shop in question will be a cafe, serving breakfast, lunch, brunch, and of course coffee. “No noise at night, don’t worry, ” he says.

Some of the signs indicating Metro Men’s move from the location a month ago have already been taken down from the windows. Metro Men left the building in favor of a larger space right up the block.

So, this new cafe will become about the 400th coffee place in a few-block radius. We’re on the case to find out what is going to set this one apart from the pack, and we’ll let you know when we get some more details.
