The menu is divided into juices, foods, a kids menu and blends, which is another word for smoothies. The offerings include The Teacher’s Pet, Cool-aid, The Grape Gatsby and Winterized. Customers can ask for a shot of wheatgrass in their juice for a boost of energy. There’s also L’Aube coffee, and if you feel like it, you can bring some booze to make your juice into a cocktail. (Yes, that’s sanctioned behavior here.)

Owner Freda Kanterman said she and her business partners traveled to juice bars in New York and Los Angeles juice bars to get ideas, and took a few months of trial and error before they decided what juice recipes to put on the menu.

Here's a view of the inside of the store.

Kanterman said they plan to rotate their juice combinations according to what’s in season and add seasonal items such as a hot cocoa blend with raw cocoa, agave, almond butter and dates.

Not exactly cheap at $6.75 for a small, but tasty.

The Teacher’s Pet, for instance, is a combination of apples, kale, cucumber, beets and ginger. Cool-Aid is not what you think. It’s a mix of carrots, orange and kale, a bit healthier than the sugary powdered drink.

Want something a little more substantial?  Blends include Almond Joyous, A Date With Kale, Envy Me and more.

There are many options to choose from with a variety of ingredients. Add a "super food" for $1.00.

Customers can also add a “super food” to their blends for one dollar. This includes a shot of a healthy food such as aloe vera, bee pollen, goji berries, flax and more.

The food menu includes vegan muffins, which are baked on the premises, and a different vegan soup every day. Vegan sandwiches are coming soon.

Kanterman is particularly proud of her Zumex juicer imported from Spain, which she said is superior to those commonly used by other juice bars because it wastes less than other juicers.

Kanterman also offers aqua de la casa, or filtered water that’s infused with different fruit combinations each day.

This is the cucumber and apple combination of Kanterman's aqua de la casa. She will come up with different varieties in the future.

!Juice! currently features art from her business partner’s brother, Maurice Bartikofsky. Kanterman might have art from other local artists when her business gets more settled in.

Have suggestions to improve !Juice!? Kanterman is more than happy to listen to feedback that will make the juice bar a better place.

“We’re here to serve the neighborhood,” she said.
