This lonely backhoe (bulldozer? frontloader?) sits in the hole that once was the Broad Street Armory, which, as you can see, is now gone to make way for a new 50-unit apartment building.

Can you believe it’s been nearly a year since we reported that apartments would be coming to this site? Man, these things move slowly.

    Very slowly. Much like the King of Jeans project and the project across from Birra. Also any news on the Triangle?

      The Triangle… talk about slow. Nothing new to report yet. The KOJ has been delayed partly because there was a second developer that came on the project after the first plan fizzled. I hear it’s not dead though. With the project next to Birra, owner Chris Scarduzio got distracted with the redoing of the old Le Bec Fin into Avance on Walnut Street. Besides that, he always said it wasn’t going to start until early this year, which at the time he told me that, I thought sounded very far off. And here we are…
