Disappointing news dropped over the weekend: Guerrilla Ultima will no longer be posted up outside of 2nd Street Brew House offering their indoor/outdoor barbeque’d goodness to compliment the steady flow of craft suds. It certainly was a great concept, like The Garage before The Garage, you know? Chef Robert Leggett wouldn’t get into specifics but he did leave us with this tweet:

Leggett mentioned they will still be around the ‘hood and serving food from the truck. A brick and mortar joint also isn’t out of the question, as he’s been looking for the perfect location near the Pennsport area for a while now. Hmmm, we can think of at least one place he should take a peek at in the near future.
While this may be a small setback for Guerrilla Ultima, things are still going very well for the unconventional roving barbeque truck. Leggett mentioned the truck will be featured on two televisions show this summer — Cooking Channel’s Eat St. with James Cunningham on July 10 at 8 p.m. and Travel Channel’s cooking contest Pressure Cook sometime in August. Look for an Eat St. viewing party to be at Brauhaus Schmitz the night it airs.
As for 2nd Street Brew House, they now have an expanded menu available for patrons. Take a peek:
To recap: Guerrilla Ultima is no longer at 2nd Street Brew House but is still active as a food truck while looking for some bricks for a restaurant. Oh, and they may or may not have a second truck in the works called Wing Kong Express – but that’s still being designed.
