Spotted: New crosswalks, other improvements continuing to move forward on Fabric Row

We updated you in November on some of the streetscape improvements coming to Fabric Row. There is still a ton of construction happening on the street, but some of the improvements are beginning to see the light of day.

Yesterday we spotted these newly-designed cross walks around the area of the to-be-redesigned Bainbridge Green.

$1.3 million in streetscape improvements are coming to Fabric Row. So far, they’ve laid down the wiring for the new lights on the street. Some of the 50 new lights being planned for 4th Street are beginning to rise. At the end of this phase of improvements, you’ll be seeing these new lights, trees, curb repairs and more.

While you can see some of the improvements with the new cross walk and some new lighting, much of 4th Street still looks like the photo below.

Once this entire project is completed, you’ll be seeing more benches, planters, street art or more, as it was announced back in March of 2014.
